Chapter 3 - Awakening

Dexter's pod suddenly activates again and begins to slowly thaw him from his cryo-sleep sequence. He slowly regains his consciousness to find that his pod has been somehow dumped somewhere unfamiliar.

He exits his pod expecting to see Cain ready to show off his vision as promised - but instead, he has been discarded and he feels like a fish out of water as he looks on at this unfamiliar environment. He opens his eyes wide in wonder as he sees spaceships and flying cars fly overhead and he realizes that he is on his home planet, which used to be a near-deserted planet with few resources - but now he sees a booming city with humans, apes and androids all populating the city and living side by side.

He sees technology has advanced significantly from when he was last conscious - He stares about in wonder: "Looks like Cain managed to achieve his dream after all...Paradox city huh? Well, he made one mistake - underestimating ME, yes he was the tech expert...but likewise, I am also a weapons expert and he should have killed me when he had the chance. I will have my revenge one way or another - even if I have to tear this whole utopia of his apart brick by brick. But first...I will need to regroup - I'm gonna need some weapons and I'm gonna need some allies, but after what happened with Cain I will have to choose my allies wisely."

Dexter notices some landmarks he remembers still stand and he wonders, if a certain bar still stands - if he can get the old crew back together, he just might be able to make his revenge into a reality! His eyes focus on the focal point of the city...Paradox city and based on what he knows about Cain he is certain that he will find him on top of that tower, the only question now is - how to make it there?
